Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs Becomes A Hockey Guy In Hilarious Video At Stars-Oilers Game

Everyone has their favorite genres of online video. Some people like watching people falling off of trampolines, others like watching squirrels water ski, while others still — "psychos," we'll call them — like watching people pop zits (seriously, what's wrong with you people?).

As for me, one of my favorite genres of online videos is NFL players sitting behind the glass at an NHL game and discovering the great game of hockey firsthand.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs did exactly that at Game 1 of the Western Conference Final between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers.

Bleacher Report did us all a favor and shared the video of Diggs getting a taste of just how fast and physical playoff hockey is while hanging with his trainer, Sean Washington (who had been to a game before, so he was a grizzled vet compared to newbie Diggs).

Diggs got rolling by saying how much he enjoyed the "chill vibes," but it wasn't long before the pace picked up in a big way.

"Look how fast the puck is going, bro," he said before commenting, "They say NBA players can't play football, ain't nobody playing hockey.

I've got to say, Diggs got the full fan experience. He had a friendly neighbor explain the length and number of periods, had that question about playing the puck with your hand everyone asks the first time they see someone glove down a puck, and he even got to experience that moment of terror when you're sitting by the glass and you're afraid it may have gotten broken.

And he and Washington are already picking up on some things all fans know. Like how that No. 97 guy who plays for the Oilers is not one you want to see with the puck.

In fact, Connor McDavid won that game for the Oilers in double overtime.

It's a perfect NHL-watching debut. Welcome to the club, Trevon! Now go home and download NHL 24 and have yourself a day!
