New College Football Video Game Gets Huge Update After Disappointing News

"College Football 25" will have the most important award in all of college sports:

The Heisman Trophy.

Fans eagerly waiting for the first college football game in eleven years were hit with some disappointing news when it was announced the National College Football Awards Association declined to opt into the game.

That means popular awards like the Maxwell Award and Biletnikoff will not be in the game. Naturally, fans immediately began wondering whether or not the Heisman Trophy Trust would also opt out of the game.

Well, that's simply not the case.

"College Football 25" will feature the Heisman Trophy.

While the  National College Football Awards Association isn't interested in being in the game, the Heisman Trophy Trust has made the complete opposite decision.

It was announced Friday afternoon that the Heisman Trophy will be in the game! Let me know if you think it's the right call at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Ultimately, this is the only award that actually *NEEDS* to be in the game. Having all the other awards certainly would have been nice like in the old games.

However, having the Biletnikoff and Maxwell awards certainly would have been nice, but by no means a must. The same thinking simply doesn't apply for the Heisman. It needs to be in the game, and now it will be.

Nothing is better than cruising through an entire dynasty season wondering whether or not your star QB or RB has done enough to be a Heisman candidate. The highest of highs. The lowest of lows.

Millions of fans will now get to take that ride thanks to the Heisman Trophy Trust making the correct call when the National College Football Awards Association did not.

My excitement grows for this game with each and every passing day. The release can't get here fast enough. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
