Cole Beasley, Who Was Fined $125K For Not Being Vaccinated Responds To CDC Backing Down

Former Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley summed up the last four years of Covid chaos with one simple tweet: A laughing emoji.

Beasley's tweet came in response to news that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has once again changed their guidance protocols and now recommend that people should treat their Covid recovery as if they had the flu.

WELCOME TO REALITY IN 2024, CDC

Previously, those infected with Covid were supposed to be isolated for five days, but now the CDC is recommending just 24 hours after not having a fever. Ya know, the same thing many have been saying for years; if you feel sick - don't go to work or hang out with people until you feel better. Basic logic. (Full disclosure: I am vaccinated but still think that the mandates were absolutely insane at times.)

It's the first time that the CDC has updated their isolation guidance since 2021 and now puts Covid in the same class as influenza and RSV as far as recovery goes.

Beasley's sarcastic tweet was followed up by one that reminds people just what some folkswent through if they didn't follow vaccine mandates. In Beasley's instance, he was fined over $125,000 by the NFL for not complying with their Covid protocols at the time. The Bills wide receiver also faced intense public scrutiny - with even Mark Cuban offering him shares of Pfizer stock if he got vaxed. That's how wild and divisive things were at the time.

CDC RECOMMENDS COVID RECOVERY SIMILAR TO FLU

Unfortunately, Beasley wasn't the only one that faced fines, as regular citizens had their businesses, restaurants and livelihoods taken away from them as well.

And just a reminder for those who forgot what it was like for Beasley and others that either refused - or medically weren't allowed to get the vaccine due to other health issues, take a look at what some of the NFL rules and guidelines were at the time. $50,000 fines if a player went to a bar or a concert. Seriously?!

Or how about Saints head coach Sean Payton being fined $100,000 for not wearing his face mask properly during the season on the sidelines?

Or the Raiders losing a DRAFT PICK over Covid regulations?

Meanwhile, Moderna's CEO made $400 million in 2022.

After the CDC's new guidelines were announced yesterday, other athletes like former No. 8 ranked men's tennis player John Isner chimed in as well, reminding people of when even playing tennis outside was considered illegal.

Unfortunately for many, the CDC's new guidelines won't help those that were affected by it in the past few years.

There have been some developments, however - last week a judge ordered that ABC must face a trial over the wrongful termination of employees who refused to get vaccinated over religious reasons.
