Cheapshot Artist Draymond Green Drops Hammer On Donte DiVincenzo's Face

It was only a matter of time before we witnessed another cheap shot from the Warriors' Draymond Green. Despite two separate suspensions for physical altercations with opponents this season, Green's still taking dirty shots for no good reason.

Back to doing what he does best, Green smacked former teammate Donte DiVincenzo in the face Thursday night in a game against the New York Knicks.

Donte played with the Warriors last season, but it wasn't enough to buy him some grace from the unhinged Draymond.

Green's forearm is seen crashing onto DiVincenzo's nose during a rebound attempt, leaving blood dripping from DiVincenzo's nose after the play.

Anyone who's followed Draymond knew it was a deliberate shot.

The refs, not so much. They seemed to think it was a natural movement and didn't call a foul on the play.

"Draymond Green is by far the dirtiest player in the league," one NBA fan reacted on X.

Draymond's volatile behavior, again, highlights the NBA's lack of control over its players, considering league Commissioner Adam Silver had extensive talks with Green during his second suspension urging him to stop hitting players.

Silver dug the league's grave by appealing to players' brands and handing them more autonomy over the NBA's image since taking over for David Stern, leaving the Association's brass with their hands tied with problem players like Draymond.

Perhaps Draymond is frustrated by the Warriors' inability to escape the 10th seed in the West.

Maybe it's a stunt to drum up content for his podcast.

Green's status as an NBA villain made sense when Golden State played good basketball.

Now that they're reduced to a middle-of-the-pack team, at times even sub-par, Green's antics seem tiresome.

Either way, the blame falls on Adam Silver and the league for clearing a player who once intentionally stomped on another player's chest after he considered himself a reformed man.

Thursday night's dirty shot suggests Green never changed. How long until Draymond Green's next cheap shot?
