Charles Barkley ‘Dying To Vote’ For Nikki Haley, If He Can Get Over Her Comments About Race

Charles Barkley says he’s "dying to vote" for Nikki Haley.

"I want to give all my energy and all my heart behind your campaign," Barkley told Haley on CNN Wednesday.

But he has one concern: her opinion on race in America.

"I’m dying to vote for you," Barkley continued. "But I was upset when you made the reference that you didn’t think America had racism."

Barkley references a comment Haley made in January in which she said America has "never been a racist country."

Barkley asked Haley whether she stood by those comments today.

"If my mom had told me that we lived in a racist country, I would have grown up never thinking I could be governor, never thinking I could be ambassador, never thinking I could run for president," Haley responded.

"But my mom always said, ‘your job is not to show them how you’re different, your job is show them how you’re similar.'"

Haley’s previous comment about race didn’t impede her decision to use supposed racism to her advantage. "We were the only Indian family in our small southern town," she also said in January. "I was teased every day for being brown."

Barkley didn’t specify what he likes about Haley or if he just doesn’t want to see Joe Biden or Donald Trump remain or return to the White House.

Then again, perhaps Barkley secretly supports warmongering neocons who embody what a Democrat plant would look like.

Hard to say.

Either way, Barkley’s support or lack thereof for Haley wouldn’t matter much at this point.  Haley's campaign is dead.

Unofficially, of course.

The odds via OddsChecker, a betting aggregation site that was eerily accurate in 2016 and 2020, say three Democrats are more likely to replace Biden as the 2024 nominee than Haley catching and topping Trump.

Here are the latest odds:

  1. Donald Trump, +132
  2. Joe Biden, +255
  3. Michelle Obama, +1150
  4. Gavin Newsom, +2000
  5. Kamala Harris, +2600
  6. Nikki Haley, +3000.

Note: Haley’s odds were down the drain far before her flop-flop on how racist America is and isn't, possibly costing her the support of Charles Barkley.
