Caitlin Clark Posts About Her College Career Ending: 'I'll Miss Ya'

Caitlin Clark’ college career is officially over, and that made her feel a little emotional.

The Iowa Hawkeyes star put up impressive numbers in Sunday’s women’s college basketball national title game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. She dropped 30 points in the game (18 of which came in the first quarter) and got the Hawkeyes off to a roaring start.

And of course, she hit five threes, most of which came from an uncanny distance from the hoop.

Unfortunately, Iowa could not withstand South Carolina’s class, and eventually lost 87-75. In the process, the Gamecocks finished an undefeated season with a record of 38-0.

Clark was emotional as she was subbed out for the final time in her collegiate career.

That emotion carried over into the locker room, where she posted a picture on her Instagram story of her uniform, which lay on the floor next to one of her shoes.

Lots of people will feel the same way about Clark.

Her college career was legendary, as evidenced by the fact that she broke the NCAA career scoring mark earlier this season. While she will undoubtedly have a bright future in the WNBA, she will certainly leave a big void within the sport at the collegiate level.

It will be a long time before we get another star who could fill it.
