Incredible Caitlin Clark Stat Embarrasses Iowa Football Program

A truly awesome Caitlin Clark stat has surfaced that puts the Iowa football team to shame.

Clark's college career came to an end this past weekend with a loss to South Carolina in the national title game. The Iowa sensation never won a ring, but will be remembered as the woman responsible for elevating the game to levels nobody previously thought possible.

She did it by scoring at an insane rate and by firing off shots from absurd distances. She was in range as soon as she crossed half-court.

Now, a stat is going viral that is a tough look for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa football program.

Caitlin Clark crushes Iowa football in scoring.

The Athletic pointed out a very interesting observation that is a good reason to laugh for anyone who isn't a fan of the Iowa football team.

The phenom basketball player scored more points during her final season of action than the Iowa football team did in the four years she was in Iowa city.

Clark poured in 1,234 points this season and the football team only has scored 1,028 points over the past four seasons, according to The Athletic. That's a tough look for Kirk Ferentz and his program.

This comparison really says two things. First, it's a fun reminder of Clark's incredible scoring power. She finished her college career as the highest-scoring player in major D1 basketball history.

She leaves the Hawkeyes with 3,951 points, and it's a record that might not be broken for a very long time - if at all. Meanwhile, the football team is known for consistently having an atrocious offense.

It was painful to watch with Brian Ferentz leading the way, and the Hawkeyes scored just 216 points this season. Caitlin Clark could get that in just a handful of games. It's honestly just a hilarious comparison between a prolific scorer and a football team that has an offense resembling paint drying.

Now, it will soon be time to find out what Caitlin Clark can do in the WNBA. It should be fun to see how she transitions. As for Iowa's football team, say a prayer for them because they need it.
