Buying One of Mahomes' Game-Worn Jerseys Will Cost You Over $200K

A Patrick Mahomes-worn Chiefs jersey went up for auction over the weekend. And that jersey became his priciest memory piece sold to date.

Whether you're in the camp of Mahomes being the GOAT or not, the Chiefs QB's memorabilia is going to sell … for A LOT. So, would it be worth dishing over $200,000 for a worn jersey?

Several bidders thought so after pitching for the Mahomes jersey, via auction house Goldin, and one (lucky?) buyer scored No. 15's jersey for $213,500.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and two-time champ wore the jersey in a Week 5 matchup against the Raiders during the 2022-23 season.

In a 30-29 win over Las Vegas, Mahomes threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns. Mahomes and the Chiefs would go on to win the Super Bowl that season, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles.

The auction house sold Mahomes' jersey on Saturday as the stage set for Kansas City's AFC Championship Game. Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, 17-10.

Now the Chiefs are bracing for a rematch against the San Francisco 49ers, a team they beat in the Super Bowl three years ago. Super Bowl LVIII will be next Sunday.

Mahomes looks to solidify his candidacy for the Greatest of All Time title with a potential third Super Bowl win in four years.

Without much resistance from the rest of the NFL, competition-wise, there's no telling how many trophies Mahomes will hoist in the totality of his career. And the Mahomes-worn jerseys look better as an investment with every Super Bowl win.

As for highest-selling NFL jerseys of all-time, Mahomes still has to usurp past stars of the game. Former Niners and Chiefs quarterback Joe Montana auctioned a Super Bowl jersey — selling for $1.212 million.
