Former Iowa Football Coach Catches Savage Stray At Iowa-UConn Game

Some Iowa fans apparently still have beef with Brian Ferentz.

Ferentz left the Iowa football program after several years of unbelievably bad offensive play with him as his dad's OC. The Hawkeyes had become a joke on the offensive side of the ball, and the joke stopped being funny a long time ago.

It was clear a change had to be made, and he was shown the exit after this past season. Yet, he's apparently still fair game when it comes to being dragged, and that was on full display in Cleveland at the Final Four matchup between Iowa and UConn.

Lucy Rohden, an Iowa grad, was on the ground in Cleveland for all the chaos Friday, and she stumbled upon a fan with a truly savage sign.

The young boy had a simple message:

Brian Ferentz is so bad on offense that he's the only one in America capable of stopping Caitlin Clark.

Do we think Iowa fans are still a bit bitter about years and years of watching a Brian Ferentz-led offense? I think the answer is obvious and the answer is yes.

Ferentz is doing his best to disappear and move on. He's out the door. Yet, fans just can't let it go. He's getting nuked on X months after leaving his job with the Hawkeyes.

Don't kick the man while he's down. Brian Ferentz has a family! Think about his family!

I hope Iowa fans never give up this kind of energy when it comes to Brian Ferentz. It's awesome to see a fan base draw a line in the sand and just refuse to let a good grudge go.
