Bodycam Footage Of Chris Olave's Arrest Shows Him Name-Dropping NFL Status To Unimpressed Cop

Chris Olave fought the law and the law won.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was pulled over and arrested for speeding late Monday. He was booked for reckless driving, reportedly hitting 70 in a 35 mph zone (his second speeding arrest this year).

New bodycam footage released on Tuesday shows Olave name-dropping himself as a Saints player during the arrest, only for an unimpressed Kenner policeman to respond, "And?"

Olave threw up the Hail Mary and got shut down. The video showed Olave getting cuffed and guided by the officer.

"I play for the Saints, man," Olave told the officer.

In full deadpan, the cop responded, "And?"

At 3-4, the Saints aren't stirring much favor from the Lousiana faithful. If the cop wasn't a Saints fan, the desperate plea wasn't impressive. And if the cop were indeed a Saints fan, he'd probably want Olave behind bars for the offense's slow start to the year.

It was a catch-22 for Olave, who still cooperated with the authorities and was released from custody hours later.

Olave has 39 catches for 471 yards and one touchdown in seven games this season.
