Auburn Deletes Humiliating Tweet Attempting To Troll Lane Kiffin

Auburn is the proud owner of one of the stupidest tweets of the college football season.

Ole Miss went on the road and beat the Tigers 28-21 Saturday, and that made a tweet from Auburn age like spoiled milk left out in the sun for a week.

Shortly before the game started, Auburn's official X account tweeted a photo of Hugh Freeze and Lane Kiffin shaking hands with the caption, "Coach Freeze and a fan ."

It was a stupid tweet at the time it was sent, but it became a hell of a lot dumber once the clock hit zero and Auburn walked off the field with a loss. Attempting to troll and then losing is nothing short of incredibly embarrassing.

Auburn deletes dumb tweet about Lane Kiffin.

Well, Auburn eventually deleted the tweet, but as we all know, screenshots are forever and they never come down.

Following the tweet being taken down, Ole Miss fired up its own account and asked where it went. Great question, Ole Miss.

Where did the tweet go, Auburn? If you're feeling tough enough to talk a big game before kickoff, make sure you keep that same energy after losing.

One of the best parts of college football is the intense rivalries and extreme pettiness from teams, players and fans.

Hitting send on the tweet of Kiffin and Freeze was dumb before the game. It's not really funny, it's a shade cringe and it's just bulletin material.

However, I'd argue deleting it was even worse than originally sending it. It's so unbelievably weak. Deleting something that's embarrassing *ONLY* because of your own actions is a snowflake mentality. It's downright humiliating. Have a spine and stand by what you tweeted.

Is this the culture Freeze is building at Auburn? Major yikes if that's the case. Auburn was taking Ls on and off the field over the weekend.

If you're going to talk tough and do some trolling, then you better stand by it when the situation goes south. Dive into my inbox at David.Hookstead@outkick.com with your thoughts on Freeze and Auburn.
