Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders Signs Executive Order To Protect Women's Sports

President Joe Biden and his administration recently released a rewrite of Title IX that ignores biological sex in favor of gender identity. What was once designed to help women gain educational and athletic equality now allows biological men to steal those opportunities.

But many states are fighting back against the rewrite. Texas Governor Greg Abbott instructed Texas schools to ignore the new Title IX and focus on helping only women.

Six other states are planning to sue the Biden Administration over the changes to Title IX. That effort is led by Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky and also includes Virginia, Ohio and Indiana.

On Thursday, Arkansas took its own step towards not recognizing the new Title IX as a replacement for the original Title IX. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed an executive order to protect women's sports.

According to Fox News, the executive order states: "Educational institutions of Arkansas will continue to enforce state law guaranteeing the right of students to maintain their privacy. Students must not be forced to shower or undress with members of the opposite sex."

Governor Huckabee Sanders said of the Biden Administration Title IX rewrite: "According to the rule, sex is no longer based on the commonly understood biological differences between men and women. It's based on how a person feels or their gender identity.

"To put it another way, Biden thinks anybody can be a woman just because they say so," she continued. "As a woman, the mother of a daughter and our state's first chief executive to give birth … I can't think of anything more offensive or dismissive of the very real, very scientific traits that all women share and that no man does."

Riley Gaines, host of the OutKick podcast "Gaines for Girls" and one of the most influential pro-woman voices in the country, joined Huckabee Sanders as the Governor signed the bill.

Arkansas Senator Missy Thomas Irvin, the author of the original Women’s Sports Act 461 bill passed in 2021, thanked both Gaines and Huckabee Sanders for their efforts.

It's hard to believe that in 2024 there is an actual debate ravaging the United States about whether men can be women, but here we are. Thankfully, many states are fighting back against the nonsense and allowing common sense to prevail.
