Texas Gov. Abbott Urges Schools Not To Comply With ‘Illegal’ Biden Title IX Re-Write

President Biden and his administration are pushing through a re-write to Title IX that changes the definition of sex to be defined as a person's gender identity. Many people are outraged by the change, which will theoretically allow men who identify as women to take opportunities away from women.

Of course, the entire purpose of Title IX – as it was originally intended in 1972 – was to protect women. Because of Biden's decision to re-write Title IX, and subvert Congress in the process, several state lawmakers have had to take action into their own hands.

That includes Greg Abbott. The Texas governor wrote a letter to Biden calling the re-write an "illegal dictate" and informed the President that he advised the Texas Education Agency to ignore the new Title IX.

"Title IX was written by Congress to support the advancement of women academically and athletically," the letter begins. "You have rewritten Title IX to force schools to treat boys as if they were girls and to accept every student's self-declared gender identity.

"I am instructing the Texas Education Agency to ignore your illegal dictate," Abbott continued. "Your rewrite of Title IX not only exceeds your constitutional authority, but it also tramples laws that I signed to protect the integrity of women's sports by prohibiting men from competing against female athletes."

Riley Gaines, host of the OutKick podcast "Gaines for Girls" and one of the most influential pro-woman voices in the country, applauded the governor's decision.

"Biden's Title IX rewrite is illegal and discriminatory," Gaines posted on X (formerly Twitter)." This is what has to be done. Do not comply."

It's absurd that we've reached a point where a law like Title IX, considered one of the most consequential Civil Rights acts for women, is now being used by the President of the United States to allow men to invade women's spaces and steal their opportunities.

That's literally what Title IX was designed to prevent in the first place. We officially live in the Upside-Down.
