Angel Reese Sends Dumb Tweets During Iowa/South Carolina National Title Game

Angel Reese appeared to believe the refs might have been trying to save Iowa and Caitlin Clark in the national title game.

The Hawkeyes fell to South Carolina in the national title game, and Caitlin Clark ended her college career without a ring. It's a shame, but there's nothing that can be done about it now.

There's been the perception for some that the refs protect Iowa because of Clark, and that was on full display after the Hawkeyes beat UConn *ON A 100% CORRECT* illegal screen call.

Well, Reese seemed to imply the refs were protecting Clark during the loss to South Carolina.

Angel Reese reacts to Iowa/South Carolina officiating.

Iowa started hot against South Carolina, and Clark poured 18 on the Gamecocks before Dawn Staley's team eventually fought back and won.

Well, Reese seemed to think the officiating was awful in the early stages in favor of Clark and the Hawkeyes. She sent a pair of tweets that were not-so-subtle jabs at the officiating.

Reese also implied she faces a lot of racism in her "world" with a third viral tweet during the national title game. It's amazing how Reese loves to lean into the villain role…..right up until the moment it's no longer advantageous for her.

Is anyone surprised by the fact Angel Reese managed to make this situation about herself? Of course not, and it's an ugly look.

Clark and Iowa sent LSU packing in a true barn burner of a game. It was an epic Elite 8 game. Reese should be applauding Clark and moving on.

Instead, she hopped on X when it appeared like Iowa was going to win and hinted that the refs had it out for South Carolina. Of course, that's complete nonsense, but let's not let facts get in the way of some complaining.

Following up her tweets by claiming she also faces racism is just the cherry on top. It's so on-brand that it's really not surprising at all.

What do you think about Reese hinting the refs were protecting Clark and then playing the race card? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
