Andrew Wiggins Back With Warriors After 'Personal' Absence

Golden State Warriors' Andrew Wiggins is back with the team after taking a week off due to ‘personal matters.’

Wiggins rejoined the team at their training facility Monday. He's expected to suit up for Wednesday's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Warriors are glad to welcome their young forward. Coach Steve Kerr touched on Wiggins' situation last week, lamenting Wiggins' situation in limited detail. Kerr called the issue a ‘family matter’ and extended support to the 29-year-old. He missed four games for Golden State; the Warriors won three of their four contests in that span.

Golden State lost to the Boston Celtics on Sunday in a humiliating 52-point demise — showing the Warriors still need Wiggins on the floor. Moses Moody filled in for most of Wiggins' minutes amid the hiatus from the Warriors and did a solid job, averaging 12 points a game.

After Wiggins endured a difficult 2023 campaign, marred by health concerns surrounding his father, the Warriors are glad to welcome back their starter.
