Man Sentenced For Brutal Murder Of Utah Football Player

The man responsible for murdering Aaron Lowe will spend serious time in prison.

Buk M. Buk was sentenced to 15 years to life for murdering Lowe and three years to life for an attempted murder charge after a 2021 shooting left the Utah football player dead and another person wounded, according to KUTV.

The sentences are set to be served consecutively. That means it's going to be a very long time until Buk Buk is back out on the streets.

Aaron Lowe's killer hit with lengthy prison sentence.

"I’m sorry to the Aaron Lowe family. I’m sorry to my family. I was lost, and I didn’t know any better. I was 19 years old. I pray and hope that one day you find in your heart to forgive me. I can’t imagine the pain and suffering you guys are going through," the convicted killer told the court during sentencing.

Fortunately for society, Buk Buk will have plenty of time behind bars to think about what he did.

Lowe was shot and killed in the early morning hours of September 26, 2021 while at a house party in Salt Lake City. Buk was accused of continuing to shoot even after people were injured on the ground, according to the same report.

Buk was arrested a few days later and he has now learned his fate.

Lowe's death was made even more tragic by the fact it was less than a year after fellow Utah football player Ty Jordan died after accidentally shooting himself. Lowe was in his third year with the Utes and had appeared in a total of 20 games prior to his death. Let me know your thoughts on the situation at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
