Son Of NBA Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Receives Slap On The Wrist After Stabbing Neighbor

In June of 2020, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 29-year-old son stabbed a neighbor more than twice his age, resulting in a serious injury that nearly cost the neighbor his life. On Wednesday, Adam Abdul-Jabbar received a mere slap on the wrist for the bloody attack. The younger Abdul-Jabbar, who apparently prefers knives to skyhooks, was sentenced to just six months in jail.

“This slap on the wrist is an absolute miscarriage of justice,” Todd Spitzer, the district attorney said following sentencing.

Adam Abdul-Jabbar received the light sentence for attacking his 60-year-old neighbor because of a dispute over trash cans. Following the incident, Adam decided against the traditional angry neighbor routine of building a fence or letting his dog regularly fertilizer the neighboring yard. Instead, he stabbed the man in the back of the head multiple times.

Abdul-Jabbar's neighbor suffered a fractured skull in the attack and nearly died from a loss of blood. He even passed out in the emergency room.

One would think that the elder Abdul-Jabbar would be none too pleased with his son's dangerous act. After all, this is the same Kareem who on Monday said that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was "putting innocent lives in danger" by opting against vaccinating.

Kind of like the innocent life of a 60-year-old man being stabbed in the head, no?

On Monday, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also said of Rodgers' personal choice: “If ever requires open-heart surgery, will he hand the scalpel to romance writers because they know about matters of the heart?”

Odd timing from a man whose son left an innocent man close to death over a trash can dispute.

Adam Abdul-Jabbar has been sentenced to six months jail time and has had his sentenced stayed until January 7th, which will allow him to apply for home confinement. Prosecutors sought a seven-year sentence for the cowardly attack.

Maybe if he approached the neighbor while unvaccinated, he would've deserved a harsher sentence. Right, Kareem?
