Seahawks’ DK Metcalf Sprinting Way To USA Track And Field Event

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf established his athleticism and speed when he chased down Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker to prevent a pick-six during the 2020 season.

ESPN reports the receiver will now test his speed against sprinters as he competes in the USA Track and Field Golden Games and Distance Open on Sunday in Walnut, California.

USATF's website lists Metcalf among the participants in the 100-meter dash. Metcalf hinted at his participation in the event on Monday in a tweet.

ESPN reports that Metcalf not only played football and basketball at Oxford High School in Mississippi but was also a standout hurdler and long-jumper.

Metcalf ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the 2019 scouting combine, and NFL Next Gen Stats shows he reached a top speed of 22.64 mph when he chased down Baker in Week 7.
