San Francisco 49ers DE Nick Bosa Exits Cowboys Wild Card Matchup With Concussion

The San Francisco 49ers lost a key part of their defense during the NFC Wild Card matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Defensive end Nick Bosa suffered a head injury in the second quarter and was officially ruled out during halftime. Bosa suffered a concussion with a minute left in the half — giving the home crowd a thumbs-up on his walk back to the locker room.

According to ProFootballDoc, via SIC.com, "Bosa was on a pass rush with just over one minute left when he collided with fellow defensive lineman D.J. Jones.

"The third-year pass rusher was checked in the injury tent, then went to the locker room early. Bosa did not emerge after halftime and was ruled out a short time later."

San Francisco's defense has held up without their two-time Pro Bowler well into the game; however, Dak Prescott and the offense fueled hopes for a Dallas comeback with a five-yard QB run for a touchdown in the fourth. The game is down to one possession, 23-17, with seven minutes remaining.
