The Left Forgot Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Once Obliterated Colin Kaepernick

Both political parties this weekend rightfully honored the life of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who passed away Friday.

Among her many accolades, achievements, impacts, and changes — was a bomb once dropped on a former backup NFL quarterback. As many brought to attention today, in 2016 Ginsburg obliterated Colin Kaepernick and his protests.

Per Ginsburg, three words summed up Kaepernick’s actions: “dumb and disrespectful.” Anything else needed?

As a truthful, objective person would respond: accurate.

“I would have the same answer if you asked me about flag burning,” Ginsburg went on. “I think it’s a terrible thing to do, but I wouldn’t lock a person up for doing it. I would point out how ridiculous it seems to me to do such an act.”

Since then, Kaepernick got worse, has made less sense, and became more divisive. His hateful denouncement on July 4 sits at the top.

Most interestingly, the resurfacing put liberals on tilt. In the party’s mind, and its pathetic online mob, disagreement isn’t allowed. Everyone must agree. If not, it is described as “racist,” “inauthentic,” “fireable,” and other searchable keywords.

To her credit, Ruth Bader Ginsburg didn’t follow those rules. She wasn’t a blind partisan puppet. Despite her left leanings, she thought independently, saw through Kaepernick’s business plan, and exposed Blaine Gabbert’s former backup.

  1. Not a fan of RBG’s judicial philosophy but you can’t say she wasn’t unshakable in her beliefs. She also spoke out against packing the court like Roosevelt attempted to do. Let’s see if the left honors her legacy by following those words.
