Ron Paul, the prominent Libertarian, was hospitalized on Friday for “precautionary reasons,” Fox News reported. In a scary video that went viral earlier in the day, Paul appeared to suffer a serious medical situation while on the air of a live stream.
Thankfully, Fox News reports that Paul is “lucid” and “optimistic,” and Paul has since tweeted from the hospital that he is doing fine:

Paul, who served for 23 years in the House of Representatives as a congressman from Texas, is 85 years old.
