Ron DeSantis Holding Presser In (Let's Go) Brandon To Oppose Vaccine Mandates

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to sign an anti-COVID-19 vaccine mandate bill this morning, and he'll do so in a location that gives a wink and a nod towards the Biden administration. DeSantis will sign on the dotted line in Brandon, Florida, where onlookers will be sure to greet the Governor with chants of "Let's Go, Brandon." Of course, that's just because they're proud supporters of their local community...

DeSantis is expected to arrive in Brandon at approximately 11:00 am EST. The bills will prevent Florida employers from requiring employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. It also compels employers to allow numerous exemptions for not receiving a jab. Those exempt would include, but are not limited to: people who are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, persons expressing health or religious concerns and those who have already had and recovered from COVID-19.

On Wednesday, Governor DeSantis' press secretary Christina Pushaw tweeted, "Governor DeSantis is confident this legislation delivers on the promise: Floridians won't lose their jobs over vax mandates and will be protected from invasive discriminatory policies. I hear those of you who have doubts but believe you'll be satisfied with implementation."

Earlier this month the Biden administration announced a federal mandate that would require vaccines for all employees at businesses with a payroll of 100 or more people. All employees would either need to be vaccinated by January 4th or wear a mask while working and be tested for COVID-19 on a weekly basis.

In pushing back against this federal tyranny, Gov. DeSantis may soon have people across the country saying, "Let's go (to) Brandon!"
