Robbers Pull Off Smash & Grab At Chicago Exotic Car Dealership, Steal Millions In Jewelry

It was just another weekend in moron mayor Lori Lightfoot's Chicago where robbers pulled off a smash-and-grab operation at an exotic car dealership where they made off with millions in jewelry that was on display. Cops say the mid-day robbery at Gold Coast Exotic Motors, located in Chicago's Gold Coast, was over in 30 seconds.

Two criminals entered the store around noon Saturday and one robber went straight to a display case where he used a hammer to start hammering on a display case.

"We ran after them on Chestnut, all the way to State Street, and then they split up," Joe Abbas, co-owner of the dealership told ABC-7.

"I have little kids. I don't want to get shot here," a frustrated Abbas told the TV station.

Saturday's robbery is just the latest in one problem after another mounting for Lightfoot in her warzone city. Michigan Ave. has been hit with numerous smash and grabs at stores such as Nieman Marcus, Canada Goose, North Face, Burberry and others where scumbags have helped themselves to goods as they bring chaos to areas of the city that used to be isolated from such activity.

Gold Coast Exotic Motors co-owner Joe Perillo admitted during a Fox News appearance that he voted for Lightfoot, but noted that won't be happening again.

"When I went on the news, I said enough is enough. Those two words resonated. The phone calls started ringing in my dealership. My friends, relatives, people that I didn’t know," Perillo told Fox & Friends. "People that could get a hold of my number and they were saying enough is enough. I never realized that it has gotten to such a boiling point and no one stepping out to say anything about it."

What's Lightfoot's plan to stop the madness? Last week she said stores aren't doing enough to stop the thieves.

"We also got to push retailers. Some of the retailers downtown and Michigan Avenue, I will tell you, I'm disappointed that they are not doing more to take safety and make it a priority," Lori said at a press conference.

"For example, we still have retailers that won't institute plans like having security officers in their stores, making sure that they've got cameras that are actually operational, locking up their merchandise at night. Chaining high-end bags, these purses seem to be something that is attracting a lot of attention on these organized retail theft units."

There you have it. The moron mayor knows exactly how to solve this problem.

Oh, and if you're keeping track at home, there were three people killed and 26 injured over the weekend in Chicago gun violence.
