Report: Virginia Will Launch Legal Sports Betting Thursday

Virginia sports fans, get excited. Legal sports betting goes live Thursday, according to FanDuel's Erin Kate Dolan in a video posted on Twitter.

Virginia will become the 11th state to offer full in-person and mobile sports betting in the United States.

Virginia has long awaited the approval of online sports wagering after the state passed a bill to legalize sports betting in July 2020. Approximately 25 operators reportedly applied for sports betting licenses in the state, with up to 14 licenses awarded when approved Thursday.
