Protester Rips CNN, Other Media In Minneapolis For Making Things Worse

Videos by OutKick

People are getting fed up with the national media. In the eyes of many, the media manipulates and distorts how things are portrayed to the masses. It is becoming more and more frustrating, and one frustrated man called CNN out for it on Monday night.

The fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright has sparked several protests in Minneapolis. The man, a protestor, saw anchorwoman Sara Sidner of CNN doing live coverage and approached her with the intent to expose her true motive.

His first words were “y’all twist up the stories.”

Sidner responds by asking the man his thoughts on what was going on. His response?

“What I think about this,” said the man, pointing towards a scene behind him, “is all the press and all the extra shit you all do makes this worse.”

Sidner then responds by trying to get the man to talk off air by exchanging phone numbers, but he wasn’t having any of it.

“No, talk about something that’s real,” the man said. “You’re just going to edit out the shit.”

It sounds like somebody has been paying attention to what 60 Minutes recently did to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. If not, there are plenty of other examples to point to. Granted, CNN was live at the time, so editing would’ve be almost impossible. But I’m sure people can understand his hesitation.

“I don’t care if you’re live or not, get away from here with all that media shit you’re doing,” the man continued.

It was an amazing back-and-forth caught on camera, and CNN had no choice but to let those cameras continue to roll. In that moment, the protester shared a frustration that many others are feeling: media manipulation is real.

Former NBA player turned analyst Charles Barkley recently went viral over comments he made about politicians creating divide. Well, we can probably throw several media outlets into that mix as well.
