ProFootballDoc: Injury Insights for KC vs LAC AFC West Divisional Showdown

Videos by OutKick

The Chargers are one game behind the Chiefs, and victory tonight would put them in sole possession of first place based on head to head as they already beat KC at Arrowhead in Week Three.

A loss would mean a near insurmountable AFC West lead for the Chiefs, up two games with three to go and tiebreakers in play. This is a must-win for both squads.

The new www.SICscore.com site has all of the great NFL information as well as key basketball and baseball info.

KANSAS CITY -3 VS L.A. CHARGERS

Both top teams have some COVID and health issues. The Chiefs are the slightly healthier side and have rolled to six straight wins, the last four by double digits.

The Chargers won early in the season, but that was a different team. Now they miss 60% of the starting offensive line, including key draft pick LT Rashawn Slater on COVID. Austin Ekeler is questionable and trying to play through a high left ankle sprain, but with his low #SICscore, we don’t see him being very effective if he does play. Derwin James is out with a hamstring, and fellow DB Asante Samuel, Jr. is out with a concussion as well.

The Chiefs do lose two defenders to COVID with Chris Jones and Willie Gay out and L’Jarius Sneed missing for personal reasons.

This contest sets up to be an old fashioned AFC West shootout, but the Chargers’ O-line is the issue. KC seems to be on the right side of health in a high scoring affair.
