Police: Titans OLB Bud Dupree Charged With Assault In Nashville Walgreens Fight

Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Bud Dupree has been charged with misdemeanor assault after a Sunday evening fight at a Nashville Walgreens store, Metro Nashville Police said Tuesday.

WKRN's Emily Proud reports that Dupree is being issued a citation charging him with a misdemeanor assault in connection with a physical altercation with an employee at Walgreens. He is to report for booking on the citation in three weeks.

NFL Network reported Monday that police received a call about a fight at the Walgreens located in Nashville at 8:06 p.m. CT, according to the Nashville PD statement — an alleged dispute began after a male employee started taking video of Dupree with his phone.

A 20-year-old male Walgreens employee was treated for a cut on his forehead, and a 21-year-old female employee was treated for a cut to her hand, according to police. Police were dispatched to the scene, but Dupree and others alleged to be involved had left when authorities arrived, NFL Network reported Monday.

The 28-year-old linebacker is in his first season with the Titans after signing a five-year, $85 million contract following six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was responsible for three sacks in 10 games this year and had one tackle in the Titans' 34-3 win on Sunday over Miami to clinch the AFC South.
