Sunday, Fox News’ Pete Hegseth appeared on Steve Krakauer’s highly-recommended Fourth Watch newsletter. Hegseth was asked outside of Fox News, which media members he finds essential in 2020.
The co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend named us, the guys at OutKick:
“I like the guys at Outkick that are taking sort of a conservative approach to sports media and media in general,” Hegseth emailed Krakauer.
“I think there is a huge gap there with all of the politicization of sports. I think they are doing an indispensable thing in giving people a platform to provide that point of view, it’s actually interesting because it cuts against the grain of everything else you see in sports.”

We appreciate the kind words and encourage OutKick readers to check out Fox & Friends Weekend with Will Cain, Pete Hegseth, and Jedediah Bila.
Last week, Hegseth sat down with OutKick’s Bobby Burack for an in-depth interview on his new book, going from the military to Fox News, the flaws of higher education, left-wing social media platforms, his idols, and much more. Read the interview here.
Since it is essential, it won’t be shut down in the next round of lockdowns.
Great job Outkick!!!
Congrats & well done – as usual – OUTKICK!!
Looking forward to the days when ESPN is irrelevant and OUTKICK and other real journalists rule the
media – sports and otherwise…
I’ve noticed on the ESPN site that more and more of their football articles are behind the paywall. Yeah, I enjoy their coverage but I’m not giving a dime to that site.
Congratulations you are essential to sanity and freedom.
Kudos. I’m going to buy that book, too.
Congrats! The Outkick virus is spreading.
