Pat McAfee and Adam Cole Got Very Heated; Probably a Work

Adam Cole, the former WWE NXT champion, was in studio for the Pat McAfee Show today. You’ll never guess what happened next. Things got heated between the two and f-bombs were dropped:

As a lifelong wrestling fan, the sirens in my head are going off that it’s a work. Adam Cole went to McAfee’s studio to set up an angle. He had to have. But, the interesting part about wrestling is you could be 99.7 percent sure but there’s always a sliver of doubt that they have beef in real-life.

McAfee, who has worked with NXT for a couple of years in addition to his radio job, tweeted through the incident:

We shall see where this goes from here.

  1. Work.

1 – Adam Cole’s NXT reign just ended. I’m assuming WWE has plans to move him up to main roster. This could’ve been used to get him some national exposure before moving up.

2 – I ***believe*** this occurred toward the end of his YouTube show after his radio broadcast. Typically, McAfee’s radio broadcast ends around the 2:00 hr mark. Usually, McAfee stays on afterward. If they knew ahead of time that Cole was going to use that language, they wouldn’t put him on during radio. I may be totally off on this one though.

3 – Cole is a heel. This fits his persona.

4 – McAfee was laughing throughout the interview. And his questions were rather…the type of goofiness that has taken over wrestling products nowadays.
