Paige VanZant appears ready to give MMA another go. Despite losses in four of her last six bouts as a UFC fighter, VanZant seems ready to walk away from bareknuckle fighting and back into the Octagon. “We spoke to her management team and honestly it’s up in the air,” said VanZant’s current boss, BKFC’s David Feldman, per MMAFighting.com.

On paper, VanZant, who goes by the nickname “12 Gauge,” seems like a poor fit for the MMA big boys, UFC and Bellator. As evidenced by her previous stint with the UFC and her current 0-2 record in BKFC, she just hasn’t been very good. But… have you seen her? VanZant is drop-dead gorgeous, packs more punch than trailer trash on a Busch Light diet, and has the personality of the girl next door. Either MMA titan should be backing up the Brinks truck to get 12 Gauge in front of their audiences. She’s just hot enough to make a novice MMA fan shell out $49.99 for a pay-per-view peek.
Should she opt to submit herself to arm bars and rear naked chokes once again, the Bare Knuckle Fight Championship won’t hold her back. “We’re not 100 percent sure she’ll be back with BKFC. It looks like she will but at the end of the day, if her heart and her passion is she wants to give MMA another shot, we may give her that opportunity,” Feldman told MMAFighting. “I’m not here to hold anybody back.”
Feldman insinuated to MMAFighting that an announcement about VanZant’s future could soon be on the way. “Like I said, we’re going to know a lot more in the next two days. Hopefully she comes back, and if not, we’ll wish her the best.”
Regardless of where she ends up, people will be anxious to see what 12 Gauge can do.
