Over 70 Episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ Were Suddenly Removed From Spotify

The backlash over Spotify’s licensing deal and platform of the popular yet controversial “The Joe Rogan Podcast” reached a boiling point this week as your great granddad’s favorite musical artists announced their respective decisions to boycott Spotify over “Covid misinformation.”

As relayed by Disclose.tv late Friday, over 70 episodes of JRE went missing from the streaming platform, giving credence to the notion that Spotify execs may be caving to the outcry.

The cuts were tallied by an online tracking tool that documents every episode of Rogan’s podcast that gets taken off of Spotify.

Starting off the “misinformation” misnomer campaign was Canadian-American singer Neil Young. Joni Mitchell then announced her decision to leave the platform in protest of Rogan, and it snowballed into Crosby, Stills, and Nash’s decision to leave Spotify on Friday.

A growing list of well-off artists attempts to strongarm Spotify over Rogan’s penchant for hosting guests that often present a differing opinion on any aspect of life.

In this spectrum of conversation, Rogan has hosted doctors and researchers that have both touted the COVID vaccine and challenged it, based on its limited scope with long-term effects.

Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart even called the move by these geriatric jinglers an “overreaction.”

However, the mass sweep of episodes on Friday catered to the perception that Spotify’s higher-ups may be panicking in the face of the woke mob.

By allowing their $100 million product to appear in the reach of an outraged few, Rogan and Spotify’s rocky relationship may only be in its initial stages.

  1. If Spotify runs off Rogan over this it will backfire on them like they can’t imagine. He has the resources and connections to launch his own platform and do his own thing without Spotify. Not only will they lose their biggest star, with the biggest podcast on earth, they will create a monstrous competitor. They would be well advised to stop now.

  2. So Spotify is ticking off some progressive fascists who want speech that they don’t like removed. The defection of old left-wing hippies will pass. But Spotify execs have to be real idiots to alienate both sides of the partisan aisle by censoring Rogan as well. I’m thisclose to dumping Spotify if they cave any more.

  3. This is ridiculous. Spotify is seemed like they were willing to tell Neil and Joney to piss off but now that the Obamas and the non royal version of William and Kate have chimed in they seem to be caving. So pathetic. Who give ms a shit what the Obamas or fake royals has to say. Have either couple even put anything out on the platform yet. Still can’t believe the payed the fake royals 25 million to make content. They’ve never done anything on their own without the royal name getting it for them and somehow that makes them worth 25 million to Spotify. Unreal. This world is completely bonkers. Don’t even get me started on the Obamas. What the hell have they done to get content deals with Netflix and Spotify. I’ll tell ya, NOTHING.

  4. This isn’t about Rogan. He’ll be fine wherever he goes. This is about the next podcaster who might not have the audience that Rogan has yet and asks questions about the government. Will Spotify or anyone else go out on a limb and give them an opportunity to have their voice heard?
