Clay: Usual Suspects Pretending Fauci Emails Don't Matter

Here's something that's not a surprise: The mainstream media is treating Dr. Anthony Fauci's emails like they're no big deal. More specifically, Facebook, other tech giants, and their media cronies are suddenly changing their tune about the origins of COVID-19, as OutKick's Clay Travis pointed out.

Fauci, of course, is the guy in the middle of a scandal now that his emails about the origins of COVID-19 have been published. Or at least he should be in the middle of a scandal -- and if not a scandal, a thorough investigation by both political parties and the media. But so far, no such investigation.

"Facebook has swung from making a poor determination as to how COVID got out of the labs, to now acknowledging, 'Oh wait a minute, maybe it didn't spread from an animal to human, and instead escaped from a lab,'" Clay says.

"And oh by the way, it looks like the evidence will support that it occurred due to gain-of function research -- that is, we're biologically creating more dangerous viruses -- and then that escaped. And the United States, it appears, was providing tax dollars, including the NIH distributing tax dollars, which went to gain-of-function research from Fauci's own organization itself."

This means that, yes, Fauci had plenty of reasons to lie about where the virus originated, Clay adds.

"The evidence now overwhelmingly supports that there was a leak from a lab," Clay says. "... China has tried to cover all of this up, and many of China's compatriots in the media have done their best to pretend that there's no way this could have ever escaped from a lab. This is a major story, and it deserves to receive a massive amount of attention."
