Clay: CNN's Plunge Proves It Needed Donald Trump

CNN's viewership has taken a massive nosedive since President Joe Biden took office, as OutKick's Bobby Burack relayed on Monday. The reason is simple, says OutKick founder Clay Travis. And it's because CNN needed Donald Trump.

"As soon as Trump was gone ... the great Satan ... there's no villain, there's no evil leader that CNN can typecast," Clay says. "And all of the resistance viewership, all of the people out there who were triggered by Donald Trump, they just vanished."

Why watch, when there is no one to hate or blame? That seemed to be the question asked by so many former CNN viewers after Biden took office.

"They've gone to find other things to do," Clay says. "They no longer care about politics. They cared about Trump. They don't care about Biden. They don't care about anything that's going on, newsworthy-wise."

That's not all.

"We also have the collapse of COVID, which CNN has ridden to fear-porn heights," Clay says. "And all of a sudden, the CNN business model is under a massive siege."

That much is now evident. For Clay's full take on CNN's trip to the tank, check out the video below.
