Oregon State Twitter Account Calls Out Clay After 'Scrub Team' Comment

It's only Monday morning, but we are already off to a hot start.

First, Arkansas coach Eric Musselman dunked all over CBS betting analyst Todd Fuhrman because of his coaching mismatch analysis. During Outkick the Coverage, Fuhrman told Clay Travis that he wouldn't backing down from that analysis.

However, Fuhrman wasn't the only one getting called out.

Oregon State also called out Clay after they solidified a spot in the Sweet 16 on Sunday night. You see, the Beavers upset Clay's beloved Tennessee Volunteers 70-56 in the Round of 64, and Clay was disgusted with his team's performance. In his criticism of the Vols, he called Oregon State a "scrub team."

"This performance by Tennessee today is embarrassing," Clay tweeted out on Friday. "Zero effort, intensity or heart. Got run by a scrub team. Rick Barnes should be ashamed."

The problem? That "scrub team" then turned around and beat No. 4 seed Oklahoma State, a team which has the best player in the country, Cade Cunningham. Not only did the Beavers defeat the Cowboys, but they got their second consecutive double-digit win of the Tournament.

The official Twitter account for Oregon State didn't forget what Clay said either. Ready. Aim. Fire.

Simple, but effective. Fair enough, Beavers.

They next face Sister Jean and No. 8 seed Loyola of Chicago.
