Oregon Replacing Washington in Pac-12 Title Game

File one more thing under "Things Happening in 2020 That We've Never Seen Before." On the week of college football conference championship games, a participant is getting replaced by another.

The Washington Huskies are having issues with COVID-19, and are thus being replaced in the Pac-12 title game by Oregon. The Pac-12 just announced the news:

Oregon is 3-2 this season. They beat Stanford, Washington State, and UCLA, but lost their last two games to Oregon State and Cal.

USC is 5-0 and could theoretically have an outside shot at earning a berth in the College Football Playoff, but would need a lot of things to happen first. If Notre Dame beats Clemson, or Clemson crushes Notre Dame -- thus invalidating a win the Irish had when Trevor Lawrence was out -- it could open a spot for USC or Texas A&M. Northwestern beating Ohio State would also make things interesting.
