Ohio Reporter Tries To Track Down A Comment From Nick Saban About His Baked Beans Recipe

The Internet remains undefeated. Where else can you go and see an Ohio TV reporter trying to track down Nick Saban for a comment on the baked beans recipe he included in a Toledo celebrity cookbook published in 1990 to benefit Special Olympics? This is the only place where such an absurd situation could unfold, but there was WTVG-13 (ABC) bulldog reporter Tony Geftos Thursday night asking if anyone knew how to contact Nick a few days before the SEC Championship Game to get comment on those infamous baked beans.

"Anyone know how to contact Nick Saban? I’m doing a story about a celebrity cookbook from 1990 in Toledo," Geftos tweeted.

By Wednesday morning, Geftos received a response from Ms Terry (Saban) about those baked beans.

Tony,

Nick doesn’t have much to say about anything these days other than football…which is taking up all of his time..I can only respond to you by saying that the baked bean recipe is still one of Nick’s favorites, especially when I make chili dogs to go along with it…I think he would rather have baked beans and hot dogs…or spaghetti than steaks! Hope you are staying healthy and have a happy holiday season!

RTR, Ms T
