OBJ's Dad Shares Video Of Baker Mayfield Not Passing To An Open OBJ

Cleveland wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr's father posted a video on his Instagram early Tuesday highlighting plays when Browns QB Baker Mayfield didn't throw the ball to Beckham when he was open.

Odell Beckham Sr. then responded with three green checkmarks in the comments section of a post that said Mayfield was "either hating on Odell or he just doesn't want him shining," ESPN reports.

The video can be seen here.

Beckham Sr. isn't the only person commenting on the receiver, though. Former Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James — an Ohio native and Browns fan — also chimed in on social media Tuesday.

ESPN reports the Brown had no plans to trade OBJ by Tuesday's deadline, noting that Cleveland did not receive any offers that would make sense for the organization.

Beckham is under contract for two more seasons but has no guaranteed money left on his deal, ESPN reports. The 29-year-old receiver has a $1 million roster bonus due each of those seasons on the first day of training camp, and the Browns would save $15 million on their salary cap if they were to trade or release him next offseason.

ESPN's Kimberley Martin reports there were discussions between the Browns and the New Orleans Saints, but both sides couldn’t agree on a workable deal, given how much OBJ is owed the rest of the year.

For now, it seems like Cleveland hopes OBJ will be a big part of their second-half playoff push despite him not wanting to be there.
