Brad Marchand Has F-Bombs For Tom Wilson, Bruins Don't Back Down From 'Bulls--t' Hit

Just a week after Tom Wilson blew up Penguins forward Mark Jankowski, the Capitals road grader was at it again Friday night against the Bruins. Wilson knocked out Boston defenseman Brandon Carlo with a headshot that had Brad Marchand dropping f-bombs after the Bruins 5-1 win.

"That was a bull---- hit. had his head down in the corner and took a liberty on a guy that was in a vulnerable spot, so that's a f------ cheap shot there," Marchand told NESN between the first and second periods. "We lost a great player, and it is great to see him skate off the ice by himself, but he was obviously in a bad spot and he's hurting. So that's a bad hit."

Wilson wasn't penalized for this hit. You be the judge. Dirty? Deserving of a penalty?

Caps head coach Peter Laviolette knows what he saw.

“I saw the hit,” Laviolette told the media. “His feet were on the ice, he stayed down with everything. Just looked like a hard hit in the corner. Not exactly sure what happened, but to me, it looked like just a hit.”

The difference between the Penguins and Bruins in dealing with Wilson is that Boston had someone who could step up and drop the gloves. Jarred Tinordi, in just his second game with the Bruins, dropped the gloves and delivered what appeared to be a solid shot to Wilson's ribs and maybe a couple more shots to the head.

Pittsburgh, on the other hand, didn't have a body who was willing to go with Wilson, who has shown he's not going to stop roughing up guys around the eastern division. It was Tinordi's first fight in over a year, but he didn't appear to be rusty.
