WFT vs Chargers: Terry McLaurin Makes (Early) Catch of the Year and Fitzpatrick Exits With Injury

Ladies and gentleman, the NFL is off to an INCENDIARY start.

The new season of NFL action is in full swing and fans have already been graced spectacular moments before the start of the second slate of games

Atop the stack of early highlights and acrobatic grabs is Washington Football Team's Terry McLaurin's insane haul during Week 1's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Leaving cornerback Michael Davis in the dust and shifting his body, mid-fall, to grab a floating pass from Taylor Heinicke, McLaurin secured the grab, even as safety Nasir Adderley made a lunging attempt at intercepting the pass.

The pass came from Heinicke due to Ryan Fitzpatrick's early exit from the game in the second quarter. Fitz received a big hit from Chargers' Uchenna Nwosu. Early reports indicate that the QB is dealing with a hip injury. Fitzpatrick was ruled out from the game and his status for Thursday's matchup against the NFC East rival New York Giants seems pretty unlikely.

Last season's Rookie of the Year, Justin Herbert, and the Chargers offense faces off against a solid Washington defense. The Chargers are up 20-16 against WFT in the fourth quarter, with lead Washington running back Antonio Gibson nearing 100 yards of rushing and Herbert aiming for 300+ yards passing for the day.
