Vikings QB Earned $51,000 For Six Days Of Work

Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyle Sloter earned a nice check for six days worth of work.

The team announced on Dec. 28 that they signed Sloter to the 53-man roster and released the quarterback on Monday.

St. Paul Pioneer Press' Chris Tomasson reports the quarterback received one game check worth $51,111. Sloter spent six days on the active roster and was inactive Sunday night at Green Bay.

Backup QB Sean Mannion landed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Dec. 27 and was activated on Friday before making his third career start. Starting QB Kirk Cousins was placed on Reserve/COVID-19 on Friday, sidelining him for Minnesota's Week 17 game at Green Bay.

Sloter signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in May 2017 and made stops with the Cardinals, Lions, Bears and Raiders, but has not appeared in a regular-season game.

The Vikings (7-9) have been eliminated from postseason play, so it remains to be seen what approach the team might take as the NFL plays a 17th regular-season game for the first time in league history.
