Titans Make Roster Moves To Add Some Much-Needed Depth

Since the Tennessee Titans placed cornerback Caleb Farley and receiver/return man Cameron Batson on IR following Monday night’s 34-31 win over the Buffalo Bills, the team has now signed two players to help with depth at key positions.

On Wednesday, the team signed defensive back Greg Mabin to the team's active roster. Mabin, who previously spent time with the Titans, had been on the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced.

Mabin played college ball at Iowa and has played in 34 career NFL games, with the 49ers, Bengals and Jaguars. He spent time on the Titans practice squad last season, the team said.

The Titans also signed offensive lineman Bobby Hart to the team's active roster. Hart had been on the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills and has played in 79 games, with 66 starts, on rosters of the Giants and Bengals.

Hart, a former Florida State tackle, joins the Titans a week after the team placed Ty Sambrailo on the Reserve/Retired list, and just two days after left tackle Taylor Lewan entered the concussion protocol in the team's win over the Bills on Monday.

The Titans also moved center/guard Daniel Munyer and defensive lineman Larrell Murchison to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list, the team announced in the last of their Wednesday roster moves.

This designation opens up a 21-day window for the two guys to practice with the team without counting against the team's 53-man roster until they have been activated from Injured Reserve, TennesseeTitans.com's Jim Wyatt reports.

The Titans return to action on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs at Nissan Stadium.
