Terrell Owens Escapes Injury In Scary Car Accident

Hall of Fame wide receiver indicated he's grateful to be injury-free after what appeared to be a scary car accident over the weekend.

Owens posted multiple pictures of wrecked vehicles on his Instagram account, as well as a picture of himself praying.

"I was on my way home but this is.. HOW MY DAY ENDED YESTERDAY and.. HOW MY DAY STARTED TODAY," he wrote of the accident and the prayer that resulted.

"Thankful for no injuries, health and able to see another day," Owens continued. "God is Good."

Several former players offered their thoughts in the comments section, including legendary ex-defensive back Deion Sanders.

"Amen my brother," Sanders wrote, "God always has you covered."

Added former NBA point guard and current ESPN analyst Mark Jackson: "Praise God bro! Glad you're good!"

Interestingly, Owens had filmed himself Saturday cruising through a test drive of an Audi Q8 55 TSI. During the video, posted in an Instagram story, he discussed several of the car's features and how it got a remarkable 81 miles to the gallon.

Other than that, details of the accident have yet to be determined -- including what type of car Owens was driving when the accident occurred. All we know is he appears to be OK.

Owens, 47, is widely considered to be among the greatest receivers of all time. He made six Pro Bowls and was the NFL leader in touchdown receptions on three occasions (2001, '02, '06). His best seasons came with the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
