SoFi Stadium To Open Minicamp For 30,000 Fans

Imagine buying an Audi A4, or (insert preferred vehicle here), and parking that bad boy in the garage for a year and a half without ever touching the steering wheel.

That's how the Los Angeles Rams felt when they locked in a deal to build a new $6 billion stadium in Inglewood, California and forecasted open doors for their fans in 2020, only to shut the place down due to Los Angeles County's COVID restrictions.

The time has finally arrived to grab the keys and head out for a drive, as the organization announced that SoFi Stadium will be opening its doors for 30,000 fans to watch minicamps on Thursday, June 10.

The open practice will be held from 4-7 p.m. (PST) and is set to feature interviews from Head Coach Sean McVay, along with General Manager Les Snead and Rams players. The thousands of fans in attendance near the heart of Los Angeles demonstrates the momentous support for the return of in-person sporting events.

The Los Angeles Rams will face the Chicago Bears in Week 1 for the first Sunday Night Football primetime game of the 2021-2022 NFL regular season. The matchup will be the first home game the Rams host at SoFi Stadium, a game in which newly-acquired QB Matthew Stafford will make his Rams debut.

A playoff window remains in sight for the NFC West runner-ups. The Rams finished with a 10-6 record and defeated the NFC West champion Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round before losing to the Green Bay Packers.
