Seahawks Rumored Favorites To Land OBJ
Soon-to-be released Odell Beckham Jr. appears to have the Seahawks atop his list of preferred next stops, and the interest seems mutual. A Sunday evening report from Mike Florio said that Beckham would like to bring his considerable baggage to the pacific northwest.
Fortunately for Beckham, Seattle is apparently in the market for a father-son twosome capable of editing Instagram videos and dropping passes.
Florio addressed earlier reports of OBDrama's desire to sign with a contender on Sunday evening: "He prefers to become a free agent. The teams to watch, I'm told, are the Seahawks, the 49ers and the Saints. And I'm told he prefers the Seattle Seahawks."
Beckham can technically be claimed by any team, not just the three listed above, though it's unlikely that other teams would want to do so because of his salary and his general pain-in-the-assness.
Seattle is just 3-5 on the season, but is expected to get injured franchise quarterback Russell Wilson back on the field soon. Should OBJ land with the Seahawks, it likely won't take him long to make Wilson sleepless in Seattle. Alongside established receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, Beckham would want to collect targets as well as wins.
OBJ's most recent team, Cleveland, is so anxious to have him exit the 216 area code that they'd likely have a welcome basket waiting for him in the Emerald City.
Without the headache of the freelancing Beckham on the field, the Browns rolled to their most impressive win of the season Sunday afternoon, topping division-leading Cincinnati 41-16.
