Saints RB Alvin Kamara Has A Message For Fans Eager To See The Pro Bowler Again

The New Orleans Saints were anemic on offense against the Buffalo Bills Thursday night.

Apart from losing starting quarterback Jameis Winston and attempting to balance a saliant offensive plan with Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill, their depleted backfield, led by an injured Alvin Kamara, is also leaving heavy yardage off the New Orleans stat sheet.

Missing three games and sitting out the 31-6 beatdown on Thanksgiving, Kamara felt the anticipation of the Saints fan base to see him on the field and tweeted what appears as good news of his upcoming availability.

"I'm on it," Kamara tweeted, hoping to quell some of the restless fans that watched the Saints drop their fourth consecutive loss.

Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael and head coach Sean Payton did not relent from a running game, even in the absence of Kamara and veteran Mark Ingram, who is currently dealing with a knee injury. New Orleans allowed interim back Tony Jones to carry the ball 16 times, only racking up 21 yards and 1.7 yards a run. Hybrid player Ty Montgomery contributed with six attempts and 14 rushing yards.

Kamara is off to a productive start on the 2021-22 season: contributing 840 total yards of offense and seven touchdowns between receiving (4) and rushing (3). The running back may not be the sole solution to get the Saints back to a winning record (5-6), but as seen with Indianapolis' use of Jonathan Taylor, having a Pro Bowl-level runner can certainly help.

New Orleans will be welcoming the Dallas Cowboys — also desperate for a win after a Week 12 loss — for Week 13's Thursday night matchup.
