Ryan Fitzpatrick Gives Perfect Answer When Asked If He Would Go To New England
Ryan Fitzpatrick has been around. The journeyman quarterback may have spent the past two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, but he's played for a total of eight teams in the NFL. Guys, that's a fourth of the league.
Of those eight teams, three of them have been in the AFC East: the Dolphins, New York Jets (2015-16) and Buffalo Bills (2009-12). There is still one other team in that division, however.
The New England Patriots.
When it became clear a few weeks ago that Matt Stafford would move on from the Detroit Lions, he reportedly stated that he wanted to be traded anywhere but to New England.
That report had the guys on The Pat McAfree Show wondering whether Fitzpatrick shared a similar view of the Patriots, so they asked him.
His response was epic. "For me, I can't be as picky as Matt Stafford," Fitzpatrick said with a smirk. To see his full response, check out this clip of the segment from Tuesday afternoon.
I might have to disagree.
Stafford may be a franchise quarterback, and I guess he's really good. But is there anything really magical about him? The Beard, on the other hand...
