Russell Wilson Wants To Return To Seahawks

Maybe it's the Starbucks or falling asleep to the rain. Whatever the case, Russell Wilson wants to stay in Seattle.

Following the final game of the season for Wilson and his team, the quarterback once again pledged his allegiance to the only NFL franchise he's ever known.

"Obviously, I love this city," Wilson told media members following the 38-30 win over Arizona.

Like so many of the victories during his tenure with the Seahawks, the quarterback's play was the driving force behind the win. Wilson threw for 238 yards and three scores and added another touchdown on the ground, embarrassing the Cardinal defense, which is headed for the playoffs.

When Fox Sports' Shannon Spake intimated that Wilson may not be back in Seattle next fall, the quarterback responded: "I pray that I'm back. That's always the hope... I love this city. I love this team."

Wilson, 33, has spent his entire 10-year career in neon green and claims that he'd like to keep it that way.

"I've always dreamed of being here in Seattle. I've always dreamed of playing 20 years here," said Wilson. "That's my prayer."

Seattle would be wise to answer Wilson's prayers and keep him a Seahawk. On Sunday afternoon, Wilson joined Peyton Manning as the only two quarterbacks in NFL history to pass for at least 3,000 yards in each of their first 10 pro seasons.

Wilson's post-game comments mirrored his sentiments from last Thursday when he told media members: "I know for me personally, I hope it's not my last game ."
