Rob Gronkowski Is Glad To Still Be Playing

Back for his second post-retirement season, Rob Gronkowski's enjoying his time between the white lines. Seems like catching passes from Tom Brady in Tampa rather than New England and being outside the watchful eye of Bill Belichick has Gronk enjoying the grind.

Speaking with reporters after a recent Bucs practice, Gronk gushed about returning to Tampa for a second year: “It was a great decision and I’m definitely glad I’m still playing. It’s a grind at times, but overall it always pays off."

After deciding late last offseason to put retirement on pause and join old buddy Tom Brady in the Bay, Gronk entered training camp in less than peak condition. This year, it's a different story: “I’ve been here all offseason and now for camp, and I feel like I’m doing a lot better this year for sure. Conditioning wise, coming off a year and not playing, and then heading into a camp like this, it’s hard work. . . It’s night and day from where I was last year in training camp to where I am now.”

When we last saw Gronkowski, he was busy hauling in six passes for 106 yards in Tampa Bay's Super Bowl win over Kansas City. It's scary to think what the future Hall of Famer can do now that he's healthy and has a year of Bruce Arians' system under his belt.
