Receiver Randall Cobb Returns To Packers
The Green Bay Packers are apparently pulling out all the stops trying to get quarterback Aaron Rodgers back in the fold.
Wednesday the team made a roster move that is sure to make Rodgers happy.
The team has acquired former Packers WR Randall Cobb, a big favorite of Rodgers, which may help get the QB back to the team.
The Packers are scheduled to start camp today, and Rodgers is expected to attend, but until he arrives, everyone will be waiting anxiously.
Cobb has had a solid NFL career, which started with the Packers as a second-round draft pick back in the 2011 NFL Draft.
His best season came in the 2014 campaign, as playing in 16 games, Cobb pulled in 91 catches for 1,287 yards and 12 scores.
Cobb played eight seasons with the Packers and then played a season each with the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans.
In 2020 with a struggling Texans team, Cobb still pulled in 38 catches for 441 yards with three scores.
