Ravens Rule - No One Can Film QB Lamar Jackson Throwing In Camp
It's been a long road for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and until Jackson leads Baltimore to a Super Bowl, he's going to face criticism from the fans and media alike for not being a 'pure' passer.
The team has thrived in the regular season with Jackson, but in the postseason when the stakes get hot, the Ravens have melted with Jackson as their starter. He has not gotten the job done against the Chargers, Titans or, this year, the Bills.
Now word is that the Ravens are fed up with everyone claiming that Jackson isn't a true NFL 'thrower' and is nothing more than a running back playing quarterback.
The team has reportedly banned the media from filming Jackson throwing the football during OTAs and minicamps.
What the Ravens think is going to come from potential video of Jackson throwing (or not throwing) the football is anyone's guess, but this decision will surely cause people in the league to shake their heads.
Jackson's numbers don't indicate that he's a quarterback who can't throw. He has thrown for 68 touchdowns and 18 picks in three seasons as the starting quarterback for the Ravens.
Until he overcomes the big game though, people will continue to whisper.
